Q: When is the race?
A: Always the first Saturday in October. This years event is October 3rd, 2015.
Q: Where is the event?
A: The start and finish are both at Rotary Park in Boyne City.
Q: How do I register?
A: You can register at Zap Event
Q: I need to edit my entry; my name is spelled wrong.
A: e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will fix it.
Q: Is there a rider limit?
A: Yes. The ride is limited to 2,000 riders.
Q: If the race doesn’t sell out will you be open for day of registration?
A: No. The food and support is based from registration and we need to know how many people to feed prior to the ride.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: No refunds of any kind will be allowed, although you can transfer your entry for $10 to another rider.
Q: I need to transfer my entry to someone?
A: Contact us for a transfer form.
Q: Can I switch routes after I have registered?
A: Yes, email email@example.com and we will switch routes for you. This must be done before September 20th.
Q: Where do I park?
A: Limited parking is available at Rotary Park and you may also park on most of the side streets.
Q: When is packet pick-up?
A: Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

Q: Can I have someone pick up my packet for me?
A: Yes. They must make sure they get ALL of your purchased merchandise too.
Q: How is the race timed?
A: The race will be timed by disposable number plate chips. Start times will be based off of your wave start time.
Q: Can I start in my freinds wave?
A: No. Starting in the wrong wave will result in disqualification!
Q: When does the ride start?
A: 10:00 all 60 mile racers will start, 10:15 all 45 mile racers will start, 10:30 all 20 mile racers will start. You must start in the correct wave or you will be disqualified.
Q: What kinds of bike should I use?
A: A cycle cross bike would be best, but most people will ride mountain bikes.
Q: What tire should I use?
A: 700 × 32 cyclocross tires with a low tread or 29 × 1.9 tire on mountain bikes.
Q: What is offered at the aid stations?
A: Water, Hammer Heed sports drink, Hammer Gels, and some fruit.
Q: Should I bring my family?
A: Yes. There will be areas for spectators around the course.
Q: What if we have a storm?
A: The race runs rain, shine or snow. 🙂
Q: I know it takes a ton of volunteers to put on a race, can I volunteer my time?
A: Yes. We might have need for your help, so please e-mail us.
