A: Almost always the third Saturday in June.
Q: Where is the Event?
A: The start is at High School and the finish is at Peninsula Beach Park. Both are in Boyne City.
Q: How do I register?

A: Yes, 1500
Q: If the race doesn’t sell out will you be open for day of registration?
A: No. The food and support is based from registration we need to know how many people to feed.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: No refund of any kind will be allowed although you can transfer your entry for $10 to another rider.
Q: I need to transfer my entry to someone?
A: Contact us for a transfer form.
Q: Can I switch Routes after I have registered?
A: Yes, the routes are designed so that you can switch on the course. Please tell the timing person at the finish if you finished a distance other than what you registered for.
Q: Where do I Park?
A: There is plenty of parking at the Boyne schools. When the High School parking lot fills up drive around the block and you will see two more lots for parking in the rear of the schools.
Q: When is Packet Pick Up?
A: Friday from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Saturday from 6:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Q: Where is Packet Pick Up?
A: Friday it is held at Peninsula Beach Park. Saturday it is at the High School.
Q: Can I have Someone pick up my packet for me?
A: yes; you must also get ALL of their purchased merchandise too.
Q: How is the race timed?
A: We have chip timing.
Q: When does the ride start?
A: You can start anytime between 6:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m.
Q: What is the Cut-Off time?
A: You need to be off the route by 7:00p.m. This will give you 13 hours to finish.
Q: What kinds of bikes are allowed? Are aero bars allowed?
A: All bikes are allowed. We have had Road, Mountain, Hybrid, Cross, Tri, Tandem and even unicycles.
Q; How should my bike be set up? What gearing do I need?
A: The hills here are short and steep. Some road sections will exceed 20% grade. Gears are a personal choice depending on your riding style and strength. But if you’re asking, here are a few suggestions. Compact cranks (34×50) are great. Triple cranks are even better (30x39x53). If you’re running a standard crank (39×53), you may want to consider a 27T or greater low gear in back. Some folks even run a MTB cassette in back (up to 34T) with a long cage derailleur!
Q: What is offered at the aid stations?
A: water, Hammer Heed sports drink, Gatorade, Hammer Gels, hammer Perpetuem, Bananas, Oranges, Strawberries, Watermelon, Bagels, Bread Peanut Butter, Jelly, Nutella, Lunch Meat, Pickles, Combos, Cheeze its, Skittles, Chocolate covered Raisins, Beef sticks, Cheese sticks, Strawberry snack bars, Sweet n salty snack bars, Trail Mix, Pop tarts and whatever else we can get our hands on.
Q: Should I bring my family?
A: Yes. There will be areas for spectators about the course.
Q: Can I get a meal for my wife, child or partner?
A: Yes, Extra meals are available for $15
Q: What if The weather is bad?
A: The race runs rain shine or snow.
Q: I know it takes a ton of volunteers to put on a race, can I volunteer my time?
A: Yes, We might have need for your help, please email us.
Q: When is next year’s event?
A: The Spring Classic is always the second Saturday in June.
